Like all steel it contains a little nickel bound within the alloy, which our manufacturer lists as non-allergenic and well tolerated. Sensitivities still vary, so if you have a known metal allergy we would suggest a patch test and stopping if any irritation appears. Gold-tone versions are electroplated and the finish can fade over time, so keep them out of the shower and away from cosmetics and perfume.
